Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear?
I loved this excerpt and letter I came across in a book I was reading called “Against Wind and Tide”, by Ann Morrow Lindbergh (the wife of well known Charles Lindbergh).
It was a letter addressed to her son Land, who recently started university at Stanford.
“I would like to make more mistakes next time.
I’d relax, I would limber up. I would be sillier than I had been on this trip. I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances. I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers. I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I’d have fewer imaginary ones.
